Annotation

The relevance of the study of the educational organizations leaders’ professional growth and development is explained by the necessity for management teams to master new management functions due to the digital transformation of education and the use of digital resources in the administrative systems themselves. In accordance with the aims of the study, the inquiry included synthesis, analysis and conceptualization of the experience of Moscow professional development system for educational leaders aimed at their preparation for educational innovation management. The study resulted in distinguishing and defining a new spectrum of management tasks for school leaders in the context of digital educational transformation. New responsibilities include motivating teachers to master new digital resources, individualizing educational paths, enhancing remote learning, establishing connection between compulsory and extracurricular school activities. Within the scope of the research, specific characteristics of the content, organizational forms and active methods of the educational organizations leaders’ professional growth and development were determined. The study describes a model of the professional development process for educational leaders alongside supporting measures that can be adjusted by regional educational development institutions.The research was conducted using criterion analysis of practical experience and relying on school leaders interviews and monitoring their professional efficacy during the implementation of abovementioned ongoing learning.
