Annotation

In contemporary Russian society, volunteering represents significant potential for addressing social problems. It enables individuals to exercise citizenship, contribute to community development, and fulfil personal and social needs through helping others. Recent global challenges have particularly increased demand for volunteer efforts. As a social group, volunteers perform specific social functions while navigating increasing state system interventions aimed at regulating and controlling volunteer activities. Expanding the volunteer movement’s scope remains an ongoing priority. Socialisation under modern social development conditions profoundly impacts individuals’ life activities, shaping general orientation, relationship systems, and value orientations. During socialisation, individuals develop fundamental internal criteria for self-assessment and for evaluating external relationships, life activities, and other social sphere objects where their own activities and behaviours unfold.
