Annotation
The article is devoted to the features of forming a child's experience culture. The development of children's emotional sphere is examined through comparison of extracts from fiction and the needs of modern parents in the process of psychological counseling. Analyzing resources and deficits of the current sociocultural situation, the authors suggest taking the process of reading children's literature as a possible source for enrichment of the thesaurus of common notions.
