Annotation

The article presents various positions of representatives of domestic and foreign psy chology in relation to the phenomenon of the megapolis, which provides a variety of oppor tunities for positive socialization of children and adolescents. The presence of different scientific approaches to the process of socialization itself indicates a constant scientific interest in the existence and functioning of a person in society. The relevance of this theoretical study is due to the fact the environment of a megalo polis determines the general vector of human activity in all spheres of life, determines the priority values in society, what social norms and cultural traditions are. The article an alyzes different approaches to the interpretation of the term’s «socialization» and «positive socialization». The presence of different scientific approaches to the process of socialization itself indicates a constant scientific interest in the existence and functioning of a person in society. Despite the difference in scientific approaches to the concept of socialization, scientists are unanimous in the opinion that society specifically determines the uniformity of social behavior of its members. Almost from the moment of birth, the child learns the patterns of behavior, rules and requirements of this type of society, and the environment, in our case, dictates many of these rules we mean the living conditions in cities with millions of people and megacities. The article describes the positive and negative factors that affect the socialization of children living in megacities. The article emphasizes the role of the educational environment in the process of socialization of children and adolescents; discusses the tools of socialization of young people in megacities for effective functioning in society. The analysis and generalization of domestic and international experience in studying the sociocultural resources of the megapolis and their use in the process of socialization of children, adolescents and youth allows us to state that scientists around the world are searching for optimal tools and mechanisms for the socialization of children and adolescents in the conditions of the megapolis. The relevance of the problem is increasing due to the processes of globalization and digitalization taking place in modern society.
