Annotation
This article reveals the issues of updating the content and technologies of teaching general education programs, using the example of academic subjects of the natural science direction and technology, based on the concept of “Big Ideas” and models of organizing project and research activities of students, as well as creating a new infrastructure for solving the indicated problems. A list of proposals has been formulated to update the mechanisms for implementing national priorities in the field of science and technology education, which can be used both to modernize regional educational models and in the process of discussing the priorities of the Federal State Educational Standard Initiative 4.0 that is currently being discussed.
