Annotation
The relevance of the study is due to the objective need for further development of the theory and practice of improving the quality of higher education with the use of distance educational technologies (DET) by improving its psychological and pedagogical support. The article theoretically substantiates and confirms the results of an empirical study of the psychological difficulties of students and formulates ways to overcome them. The authors identified 4 groups of advantages and disadvantages of digitalization of education: organizational, technical, methodological and psychological. The study was conducted on the basis of the Leningrad State University named after A. S. Pushkin. The presented materials allow us to conclude that there is a contradiction between the psychological needs of students and how DET responds to these needs. The article substantiates that the activity of a student in the application of DET is similar in psychological characteristics to the activity of a researcher, therefore, cognitive activity in the digital environment requires more precise coordination. The authors substantiate the need to develop educational materials for use in DET, taking into account the psychological characteristics of the subjects of educational activity. It is proved that curricula and teaching materials should reflect not only the logic of the subject area, but also the psychological characteristics of students when mastering an educational program using DET. The psychological foundations of digitalization include the communicative, cognitive, motivational and emotional-volitional components of the psyche of the subjects of the educational process, their personal characteristics and the specifics of interpersonal communication in the digital educational environment. On the basis of the study, practical recommendations were formulated for optimizing training with the use of DET, taking into account the identified psychological grounds.
