GENDER DIFFERENCES IN THE FORMATION OF A TIME PERSPECTIVE IN ADOLESCENCE

Annotation

This article presents the results of a study aimed at identifying gender differences in temporal and substantive characteristics of the time perspective. The study sample consisted of 1,538 respondents aged 14 to 28, including 610 boys and 928 girls. The study was conducted using the technique of unfinished sentences of J. Nyutten. Based on the study, the following conclusions are made: for the time perspective of a young man, the use of time intervals “in the interval of the day”, “professional autonomy and work” and “historical future” and meaningful motivation “myself” is characteristic; for the time perspective of a girl, the use of time intervals “vocational training”, “open present”, “future” is characteristic” and meaningful motivation related to “other people” and “objects of nature”.
