Annotation
The problem of developing professional self-awareness of a teacher is of parti cular importance today. One of the means of developing professional self-awareness is research activity, the potential of which is emphasized by scientists from the standpoint of developing profes-
sional self-determination, self-identification and self-actualization of an individual. The purpose of the study is to develop a model of organizational and peda gogical conditions for research-based learning as a means of developing professional self-awareness of students of a pedagogical bache lor’s degree. The methodological basis of the study is the dialectical me thod of cognition, ascent from the abstract to the concrete. The article considers the levels and components of professio nal self-awareness of future teachers, reflecting the practical, research and peda gogical focus. The advantages of research activity are established, covering simultaneously the value-semantic, substantive and functional core of professional pedagogi cal activity, i.e., acting as a set of means of developing professional self-awareness through emotio nal-personal, emotional-value and emotio nal-gnostic involvement in pedagogical activity. As a key advantage, research activity helps resolve the contradiction between the ideal and real professional self-image. Acting as the content and meaning of training, research activity helps develop professional self-awareness through knowledge of pedagogical reality and oneself as a subject of professional pedagogical activity, which helps form a harmonious image of professional activity.
