Annotation
The article presents the theoretical foundations of developing a concept for identifying general and particular cognitive abilities as the basis for predicting academic success in the early stages of education. The substantiation of predictors and models of child's academic success is given, the principles, criteria, indicators and methods are determined. The structure of the academic success of primary schoolchildren distinguishes objective and subjective aspects. A description of the expected educational results of identifying predictors of the child's academic success in the early stages of education is given.
