Annotation

The relevance of the research is determined by the need for continuous professional development of a modern employee, considering the conditions of digital transformation at all levels, that, in turn, reinforces the state’s desire for a systematic solution to issues of continuing professional education and adult development through the introduction of advanced scientific and practical, industry and educational technologies. According to the programs of additional professional education, the features of the implementation of a continuous educational cycle for adults include systematic study and inclusion in the content of programs of such aspects as didactic, androgogical, socio-professional, considering the industry orientation. In this regard, the purpose of our research was to conduct a systematic analysis and identify a set of psychological and androgogical features that ensure the productive professional development of adults by means of additional professional education. We used in the study the following methods: system-logical analysis, content analysis of additional professional education programs, generalization method. We have analyzed and organized the characteristics of maturity as providing factors for adult development; we have identified the characteristics of adulthood that ensure professional development in the context of additional professional education. For the first time, we have specified the structural scientific and methodological components of the educational process for adults and the stages of their professional development, contributing to continuous personal and professional development by means of additional professional education. We defined the structure of psychological and androgogical characteristics of adult personality development by means of continuous education and we believe that the results of the study should be implemented in additional professional education programs at various levels. This will contribute to the orderly accounting and inclusion of psychological and andragogical knowledge in the content and technologies of implementing sectoral programs of additional professional education based on a unified scientific and methodological approach.
