Competition as a Method of Formation at Schoolchildren Interest in Physical Culture

The article is devoted to studying of competitions as a method of formation at schoolchildren of interest in physical culture. The author designated relevance and the practical importance of a subject of a research. The category "interest" within cross-disciplinary approach is studied, the essence and contents it in the context of physical culture and sport is proved. The structure of interest in physical culture and sport is described. The scientific basis of competitive approach as way of activation of structural components of interest is studied. Results of an empirical research of impact of competitive activity on formation at school students of interest in physical culture and sport are presented.
