Annotation
The paper presents the results of a research of young people's understanding of their own growing up obtained by the projective method. Valuable age differences in the comprehension of one's own adulthood were found in three age groups: 14 years old, 19-21 years old and 22-23 years old. A typology of the comprehension of one's own adulthood at the youthful age has been identified. The first type is fixed around the very understanding of the difference between childhood and adulthood, the second type is associated with the realization of success and failure in life, the third — with the search for meaning in life.
