Annotation
The article substantiates the problem of the content of concept of «socially useful labour» in the historical retrospect. Socially useful labour is understood as a social pedagogical phenomenon that has passed a long way of historical development from the birth of the human society to the present day. The author pointed out and characterized the main stages of the evolution of the studied phenomenon: collective-class, religious-axiological, motivational-personal, scientifically based, constitutional-legal, autonomous-independent.
