The relevance of this research is driven by the challenges posed by the digitalization of education and the need to account for the unique characteristics of contemporary
students when choosing teaching methodologies. The primary objective of this study is to explore the potential of podcasting as a pedagogical tool for enhancing student motivation, stimulating learning process, and developing professional competencies. The article employs the methods of survey, statistical analysis, content analysis, and a review of Russian and international literature dedicated to the results of implementing podcasts in education. The survey involved 272 students from both secondary vocational and higher education institutions (bachelor’s, specialist, and master’s programs). The survey provided insights into students’ attitudes toward the use of podcasts in teaching. The author provides recommendations on how to use podcasts when teaching history and legal sciences. The article contributes to the growing body of research on digital pedagogies by providing new empirical evidence on the pedagogical value of podcasts. Overall, it can be concluded that the podcast method represents a promising approach for integration into educational processes taking into account the challenges of digitalization. Podcasts facilitate the development of research competencies, information literacy, critical thinking, and creativity, while also enhancing time management skills and fostering collaboration and effective communication. Notably, the podcast method does not replace existing instructional strategies but rather serves as a complementary tool within the educator’s toolkit.
